The Firefighter Initial Course (also known as the Initial Fire Fighting Course – IFF) at the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria, is an entry-level aviation rescue and firefighting (ARFF) training programme. It equips airport firefighters with the foundational knowledge and practical skills needed to perform basic aircraft rescue and firefighting duties at aerodromes. NCAT’s Aerodrome Emergency Training School (recently accredited by the NCAA as Nigeria’s official ARFF training provider) delivers the course.
