NCAT Graduates Twelve (12) Students in Operation and Maintenance of Solar System
The Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria, has graduated Twelve (12) students from the Aeronautical Telecommunication Engineering (ATE) School who successfully completed the Operation and Maintenance of Solar System Course No. 6 (Airport Power Supply System – APSS).
The graduation ceremony took place on Friday, 25th September 2026, at the PSM Lab.
In his welcome remark, the Head of Power System, Engr. Rafiu Kolawole, who represented the Dean of the ATE School, congratulated the graduates on the successful completion of the programme.
He further admonished them to dedicate themselves to all their future endeavours, stressing that the successful completion of the course marked the beginning of greater responsibilities and opportunities for them and for the development of the College at large.
He also advised them to put the knowledge and skills acquired during the training into practice.
In his appraisal of the course, the Course Coordinator, Engr. Muhammad Suleiman, described the training as successful, noting that the participants demonstrated commitment and enthusiasm throughout the programme.
Describing the course, Engr. Suleiman said the Operation and Maintenance of Solar System Course No. 6 comprised nine modules and was conducted over a period of two weeks, with all the participants drawn from within the College.
He explained that the participants were assessed through practical exercises and other components of the training before being certified as having successfully completed the course.
Speaking on behalf of the graduates, the Class Captain, Engr. Joseph Audi Dalhatu, appreciated the Management for the privilege and opportunity given to them to participate in the course. He stated that it was the first time NCAT had given all its staff the opportunity to participate in the course.
“We were told that this is the first time that this course was fully organised for NCAT staff,” he noted.
He assured the College of their commitment to using the knowledge acquired responsibly.
The ceremony ended with the presentation of certificates to the Twelve (12) successful participants, marking the completion of Solar Maintenance Course No. 6 at NCAT.
Representing the Rector/Chief Executive, Engr. Rafiu Kolawole, Head of Power System, declared the participants as NCAT graduates on behalf of the Rector.
