Higher National Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (Avionics Options)

OBJECTIVE
To provide participants with necessary skills and experience through theoretical, practical and on-the-job training on the principle, operations and maintenance of airframe system components and structures in a Pressurized Metal Airframe. The course qualifies participants to obtain Pressurized Metal Airframe Structure rating issued by the Nigerian CAA. The course is approved by the Nigerian CAA.

  1. Know the principles of operation and applications of avionics systems and equipment.
  2. Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge and skill of the approved and recommended servicing of avionics equipment and systems.
  3. Assemble, test, repair, modify assemble, install and maintain avionics equipment and systems.
  4. Apply the approved regulations governing the servicing, maintenance, and requirement of avionics equipment and systems.
  5. Carry out all the safety precautions related to aircraft maintenance and servicing.
  6. Apply the principles of management relevant to aviation industries.

Prerequisites:

Candidate must possess an O.N.D in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
