Initial Fire Fighting Course (IFF)

COURSE OVERVIEW

To enable entry level personnel to identify and interpret theories, facts, concepts, principles, procedures, equipment, and components of aerodrome rescue and firefighting. At the end of the course, the trainees will be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skill required to perform basic rescue and firefighting services for aircraft operations.

 

Rescue And Fire Fighting Personnel Safety and emergency communication systems

Handling Of Equipment and Firefighting operations

Dangerous Goods

Protective Clothing And Respiratory Protection

Medical First Aid And casualty Handling, Search And Rescue

Care Of Equipment

Live Fire Drill

On-The-Job Training (Airport And Aircraft Familiarization)

Degree/HND, NCE/ND in all fields of qualification.

SSCE, with at least five credits in English, Mathematics, Physics or chemistry and any other subjects obtained in not more than two sittings. This must predate the qualifications in 1.

Minimum age requirement shall be 18 years.

Possession of a valid National driver’s license class E.

Valid physical fitness certificate by a government hospital.
